     In pursuance of ongoing efforts of Government of Assam to fill up vacancies in the Assam Police, DGCD, APRO etc, total number of 5563 posts have been identified to be filled up in the current phase of recruitment.

     As a part of this, Applications are invited for filling up of 1645 posts of Constable (UB), 2300 posts of constables (AB) in Assam Police & 1 post of Constable (UB) in APRO in the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-60500/-with Grade Pay Rs. 5600/- and other Allowances, as admissible under the rules. The date and venue of Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Test and Written Test etc., will be intimated in due course of time by email, SMS, Social Media and through the SLPRB website (www.slprbassam.in). Online Applications will be received with effect from 15-10-2023. The last date for receipt of Applications will be 01-11-2023

✿ Nationality – (ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয়তা) = Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.

✿ Age Limit - (বয়সৰ সময়সীমা) = Candidate's age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st January 2023 (i.e. the Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).

Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below

❀ SC/ST(H)/ST (P): 5 (five) years

❀ OBC/ MOBC: 3 (three) years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.

❀ Home Guards/ Members of VDPs (registered) who have served for a period of 3(three) years or more: Additional relaxation of 3 (three) years 

❀ FMMOs/SPOs: Additional relaxation of 10 (ten) years

✿ Educational Qualification - (শিক্ষাগত অৰ্হতা) =

❀❀ Un-Armed Branch: H.S. or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council for the post of Constable, Unarmed Branch, District Executive Force (DEF).

❀❀ Armed Branch: H.S.L.C or Class-X passed from a recognized Board or Council for the post of constable of Armed Branch.

✒ Selection Process (নিৰ্বাচন প্ৰক্ৰিয়া) =

The selection process for recruitment of Assam Police Constable (AB/ UB) consists of following three stages:

PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

i. Height (Minimum) Male & Transgender Female

a) Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC 162.56 cm 154.94 cm

b) ST(H)/ ST(P) 160.02 cm 152.40 cm

ii. Chest (Only for men) Normal Expanded

a) Gen/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P) etc, 80Cm 85 Cm

b) ST(H) 78 Cm 83 Cm

Physical Standard Test

❀ Measurement of the height, weight & chest (only male & transgender) of the candidates will be done using latest technology and after which the candidate will be examined by a Medical Officer for preliminary check-ups like knock knee, vision test, colour blindness test, flat foot, varicose vein, physical deformities etc.

❀ It will carry no marks.

❀ Once a candidate clears the PST he/she will have to appear in the PET (Physical Efficiency Test).

 

Physical Efficiency Test

Marks:

❦ Female Candidates: 40 marks

❦ Male Candidates: 60 marks

Male Candidates:

(a) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 mtrs. race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).

(b) Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks)

Female Candidates:

(a) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 mtrs. race to be completed within 8 minutes (480 seconds).

(b) Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).

✒ Written Test (লিখিত পৰীক্ষা) =

✿ Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the Candidate will get half mark. Questions will be of the level of class IX and X .Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.

I. Elementary Arithmetic

II. General English

III. Logical reasoning/Mental ability

IV. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy

V. General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs

✿ The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages:

Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of the candidates in  PST/ PET, Extra-Curricular Activities and Special Skills, Viva-voce and written test.
