✿ Salary (Scale of Pay) - (দৰমহা) = Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PM (PB-4) with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- PM
✿ Age Limit - (বয়সৰ সময়সীমা) = The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2021.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below
❀ By 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
❀ By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years.

Other Criteria =
✿ Nationality – (ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয়তা) = Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. For proof of permanent residence, the candidate or his/her parents must be a voter of Assam. The voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence.
✒ Selection Process (নিৰ্বাচন প্ৰক্ৰিয়া) =
Screening/ Shortlisting:Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit as per academic performance.
Methodology of recruitment: Due to the current pandemic situation, a contact-less process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed.

In case of the candidates who have completed the degree in Civil Engineering through lateral entry after completing Diploma in Civil Engineering their 20% weightage shall be calculated on the basis of marks/percentage obtained in Diploma and not on the basis of marks obtained in HSSLC or equivalent, irrespective of whether they have passed HSSLC or equivalent examination or not.
